Trip Overview:

This 15-Day accessible vacation is one of our most short but luxurious Tanzania wheelchair accessible trip, it offers a wide range of outdoor activities in a most relaxed way to people with disability to some of the most spectacular sittings in the Tanzania northern safari circuit and Zanzibar Island.

Travelers will explore and discover Tanzania wildlife, enjoy a half day trek trip on stunning Kilimanjaro mountain up to the base camp, witnessing the wildebeest migration of Serengeti national park and tracing Big 5 in full day at Ngorongoro crater, there will be a visit to tree climbing Lions at Lake Manyara National as well as a trip to see a bizarre large Baobab trees and biggest herds of Elephants of Tarangire National Park while stay overnight in unique accessible luxury accommodations in a traditional African culture then after enjoy the relax days to the unspoiled white sands beaches of Zanzibar islands,

You need some upper body strength, as there is no airport lifting equipment, during safari you will be transfer into wheelchair accessible 4×4 safari jeep and Airport transfer will be conduct into a regular accessible mini-bus. We encourage travel in a manual wheelchair but not mandatory, if you have power wheelchairs we will provide to you a well maintained manual wheelchair suitable for African safari.

Your Guide who is fluent in English/Spanish/Germany or French (Other language on request) enjoys answering the heap of questions you may have ask about things around you: animals, birds and plants and will assist on interacting with the local communities all to ensuring the travelers are never bored or tired.

Day 1: A Day trip to West Kilimanjaro

In the morning after breakfast you will drive to Londrose gate, there you will register your guide will pay your park fees. From the gate you will drive to Morom Beria gate 12km, your vehicle will park there and you will walk 1.5km to Shira one, from there you will view Kibo peak and Shira peak. In the rainforest you will see Eucalyptus trees, bird life, and Colobus monkeys. After lunch, hike back to park gate and drive back to Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

In the morning you will be welcomed by your guide and after an approximately 2-hour drive you will reach the Tarangire National Park. As you enter the park, your guide will open the roof for a better viewing experience. Tarangire is home to the largest elephant herds in the north of Tanzania. Giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, wildebeests as well as various antelopes and gazelles can also be spotted here. The landscape is made up of seasonal marshes and a seemingly endless tree savannah with its mighty baobab trees. After extensive game drives in the park, you will drive to your accommodation choice in the afternoon. Enjoy a beautiful sunset or relax in the cozy lounge area or mingle around the crackling campfire.

Day2: Tarangire N/park to Lake Manyara National Park:

In the morning you will travel from Tarangire National park to the small Lake Manyara National Park. Not only is this park a bird-lover’s paradise with over 400 species of birds, but is also home to primates such as baboons and blue monkeys and many herbivores, such as elephants, hippos, wildebeest, impalas and giraffes. You might even catch a glimpse of the more carnivorous inhabitants, such as leopards and lions. Through the pop-up roof of your safari vehicle you will see the landscape changing from lush acacia woodlands to grassy floodplains, where colonies of flamingos and other water fowls can be found on the alkaline Lake Manyara’s shoreline. After extensive game viewing you will leave the park and head to your accommodation choice around Ngorongoro Highlands. Enjoy a beautiful sunset and relax in the cozy lounge area or mingle around the crackling campfire.

Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park – Ngorongoro Crater Full:

After breakfast at your hotel, you will pack with lunch boxes on your 4×4 safari jeep and drive to Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera the most likely areas in Tanzania to see the endangered Black Rhino, as a small population is thriving in this idyllic and protected environment. Ngorongoro crater is the only area you can encounter African Big5 in one place.

There is a lot of interesting attractions to see in Ngorongoro Crater like Lake Magadi: Shallow, azure blue, fiercely alkaline from sodium carbonate, is fringed by hundreds of long-legged pink flamingos, Lerai Fever Tree Forest: Consists of tall, slim yellow barked acacias forming an airy, lace-canopied wonderland of glades, is much frequented by elephant, rhino, eland, bushbuck, hyrax, and hundreds of birds, Gol Mountains The primeval Gol Mountains provide a surreal wilderness environment of stark, pink cliffs, enclosing the Angata Kiti pass, a bottleneck for the annual Great Migration. After a full day game drive inside Ngorongoro Crater we will descend outside the crater and drive back to the hotel.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you start on your way to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gauge (Oldupai Gorge -originally misnamed Olduvai- is the most famous archaeological location in East Africa and has become an essential visit for travelers to Ngorongoro or Serengeti. Then after you will head to Naabi gate where Drive will pay your park fees and stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) after lunch proceed in Serengeti park game drive Words cannot capture the vastness of the Serengeti. Its natural abundance of wildlife provides incredible game viewing. On the open, grassy savannah, antelope species include eland, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, topi and hartebeest. In the denser bush and acacia of the central Serengeti, leopard sightings are among the best in Africa, cheetah and lion are abundant. In the rivers, hippo and crocodile are plentiful. Overnight and dinner at standard accommodation requested.

Day 6-8: Serengeti National Park Full Days:

The entire day is dedicated to game viewing in the Serengeti National Park, this park is famous for its migration of the wildebeest and it has got a lot wildlife abundance, the big cats such as Leopard, Cheetah and high concentration of lions and hyenas. Many other animals such as giraffe, zebra, impala, heart beast, buffalo, baboon and a lot more concentration of wildlife and bird species in the park.

The areas that you visit will depend upon where the migrating herds are. Predators usually follow closely behind the trekking animals and include lions, leopards (in the acacia trees) and cheetahs. During the short rainy season in November and December the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June they return up north. As the migration is completely dependent on the yearly rainfalls, the location of the herds may vary from year to year but your guide will know where to locate the animals and where to see them best. Every day later evening you will drive to Overnight at standard accommodation requested.

Day 9: Serengeti airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar:

If time allows, you will head out on a last game drive in the early morning. After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, your guide will take you to the nearby airstrip. Here you will say goodbye and board a small aircraft which will take you to Zanzibar Islands.

On arrival you will meet by the driver and transferred to your hotel Arrival is in the late evening, spend the rest of the veining at leisure, waiting for your prepared dinner.

Day 10- 14: Days of Leisure and Relax

At leisure to relax at your resort set on the gorgeous white sandy beaches of the Zanzibar Archipelago. Spend the day on the beach or by the swimming pool and be sure to try the iced hibiscus tea found here, as well as some of the many spices.

Activities vary depending on the size of your resort but usually include water sports such as kayaking, windsurfing and kite surfing. You can sail in a traditional Arab dhow or enjoy a full day catamaran excursion around the island, with snorkeling opportunities. The best diving is centred around Mnemba Island in the northeast and Nungwi in the north. Deep sea fishing is also based out of Nungwi, where there is a privately-owned turtle aquarium.

A variety of day excursions are also on offer including a walking tour of historic Stone Town, spice island tours, snorkeling at Prison Island where you can see giant tortoises, cultural tours to Uzi Island, Swahili cookery lessons and wildlife visits to Jozani Forest in the south. Here you can see rare indigenous red colobus monkeys and baobab trees, and walk along a mangrove boardwalk to enjoy the flora and birdlife. There is also a Butterfly Centre and Snake Park outside the gate.

Day 15: Flight to Dar es Salaam international Airport:

After breakfast you will drive and drop-off at Zanzibar International Airport for your flight to Dar es salaam International airport where you will board International flight for departure.
